Lonestars Community,
During May we competed with some of the best teams in the US - Austin & Dallas - over 2 Rounds of the Texas Cup, most recently with an under-manned but determined team in Dallas putting up a good fight in both games. (Match report coming very soon!)
June is going to be another great month for the Lonestars with some great new footy and social events scheduled as we move into the summer months.
Here is the plan for June:
MATCHES
Sat, June 14 - Game against Baton Rouge at Baton Rouge. Game time and location TBC. A great chance for those who missed the Dallas game to get back on the park against our great mates at BR!
Sat, June 21 - Metro Carnival at Austin. Schedule and location TBC. The first Carnival was a huge success here in Houston, so let's back it up in Austin! Great chance for new players to play open Metro style footy against the top team in the US.

Thurs, June 12 - 'Bring a Lonestar Night' at Karbach Brewery, 6.00pm-8.30pm. $8 & $12 Brewery tour and tastings. It's time to pay a visit to our generous sponsors and one of Texas' best breweries. All Lonestars to bring at least one friend along to potentially play or become a social member of the club. There will be prizes for Lonestars that introduce a newly signed up player!!
Fri, June 27 - Farewell to Shaun Whitehouse - venue and time TBC. Keep this night free to send off our great mate, umpire and player Shaun and his family back to Oz.
We will also be planning to kick off Co-Ed Ausball soon so tell your friends (guys and gals) to get ready for touch-Aussie Rules footy here in Houston!
