Calling all Houston Mo-Stars!!!
It’s that most wonderful time of the year again, Movember is just around the corner which means we have another opportunity to take on men’s health face first! We are looking for as many “soup strainers”, “crumb catchers”, “facial furs”, “snot mops” and “lip warmers” we can find.
What is Movember?
For those of you who are not aware of the movement, Movember is a fundraising campaign and foundation in which every November men around the world are growing moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues, primarily mental health and prostate/testicular cancers. These are key issues to be tackled as this year one in four adults in the United States will experience a mental health problem, more than 233,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and too many men will die unnecessarily from testicular cancer, the most common cancer in young men. Further information can be found in the following link: Movember. This is a perfect excuse to put down the razor and shine up your “upper lipholstery” for the world to see!
What can I do?
The concept is simple and one of the easiest fundraising campaigns to join, all you will need to do is:
1. Sign up to my Movember team using the following link: HOUSTON MO-STARS
2. Begin the month of Movember with a clean shaven face
3. For the entire month of Movember grow and groom your proudest moustache
4. Use the power of the “stache” to create conversations about men’s health and raise funds for men’s health issues

Will BHPB match?
Yes, BHPB will match the donations you personally contribute as well as any funds donated by BHP Billiton employees, dramatically increasing the funds going to the Movember foundation. This is not just for BHPB employees however, anyone can join the team and grow a “push broom” to be proud of!
What if I can’t grow a mo?
The campaign is about raising awareness and funds for men’s health in a positive and fun way. No matter the outcome of your mo – sparse, bushy, grey or fluffy you can be sure to stand proud alongside your mo bros and for a worthy cause. This is going to be a great campaign and has been a lot of fun in the past. We will have some events, prizes and updates along the way. I hope to see you bring out your mo’s and support your brothers!
