It was a great turn up to our 2015 AGM last Saturday at The Phoenix so thank you to all that came. Minutes from the AGM and Committee positions will be communicated soon. Don't forget to get your entries in for the 2015 Lonestar T-Shirt design/slogan competition. Prize will be a 2015 Merchandise kit-out and a $50 Phoenix voucher.
It was also a great Australia Day enjoyed with the Australian American Chamber on Sunday with many of the Lonestars there enjoying an Aussie BBQ, Cricket and Netball matches in amazing winter weather. A big thank you to those who volunteered on the day including Blake, Mash & Zach with the Junior Footy Clinic, Ben & Kami on the BBQ, Phil & Jordan on the bar and Robbie donning the Kenny Koala suit! It was an experience to watch the great man Fielder play in his first cricket game - albeit for the British! He also managed to bowl out DB much to the Presidents surprise. Coach Dan showed he should maybe pull on a skirt for the Houston Shooting Stars Netball Team!
It was great to meet some more fresh Aussie faces in town last weekend and hope to see them around the footy club soon. Welcome to Scott Cameron from Eastlake FC in NSW - sure to be a great addition to the club onfield and off.
THIS WEEKEND
SATURDAY - Training this Saturday 10.30am back at BENDWOOD PARK! Again all Ausball crew welcome as it's just fitness and basic skills training at the moment. It was great to see Whitney, Sam and Kami down the last few weeks. We will be ramping up girls footy this year so get down and show the boys a thing or two.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!! - In the lead up to Superbowl, Ruggles is organising an Aussies vs Americans flag football game Sunday at 1.00pm. Meet at at Memorial Park Rugby field on North Picnic Lane. (See map) All Girls and guys welcome. Then it will be onto The Phoenix from 4pm to watch the big game.
