Our Men's & Women's teams have just returned from another amazing USAFL Nationals tournament, this year in Racine, Wisconsin.
In unfamiliar icy-cold morning temperatures and with back-to-back games for both days, all teams performed really well and whilst we didn't come away with a cup or a medal we played some tough football that will stand many of our new recruits this year in good stead for the coming years.
We couldn’t have done it without an A-List Coaching, Operations and Support crew and we thank them for their support all year, traveling to away games even when they weren't playing or were injured and being there for us at Nationals.
Special mention to Coach Simon, Coach Phil, Coach DB, Coach RJ and Runner Fletch for their tireless work over the year and in particular Nationals weekend to run the teams and combined teams so seamlessly.
It has been a tough year injury wise for our club and we wish all our players a speedy recovery for 2019. It also has been a great recruiting year for us with some exciting new US talent un-earthed for both men and women and we look forward to see their continued growth in 2019 including opportunities with the US National teams.
We would like to thank our awesome 2019 Sponsors.
Airrosti who have got our men and women back on the track quickly and come out to training session all year, Platypus Brewery, The Phoenix and Karbach Brewery for supporting our off-field thirst and social events that allow us to raise money to function and travel, FC Lending for their ongoing support, Abba Fitness for keeping us in shape and kicking our butt and Four'N'Twenty pies for supporting out events and hungry appetites.
We will now take a bit of a break (apart from some socials and fitness get togethers) but can’t wait to get back out there next year, see some old legends return, unearth some new US star recruits and grow our great game and club for both men, women and juniors in 2019.
