ANZAC DAY FOOTBALL: HOUSTON LONESTARS VS OKLAHOMA FC @ UNI OF HOUSTON
Our Okie friends (Oklahoma/Tulsa) are making the trip down for their 3rd year in a row for 4 quarters of hard, tough ANZAC Day Football.
ANZAC Day, which falls on April 25th, is a National Day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand to honor soldiers who fought in the country's first major military action, namely at Gallipoli, Turkey in 1915 as part of WW1.
On ANZAC Day, Australian Football plays a large part of commemorations with the epic annual battle at the MCG between Collingwood & Essendon.
The Lonestars Annual ANZAC Day function will be held after the game from 4pm-8pm at Platypus Brewing. See Facebook event for details.

12.00pm - AFL Junior Footy Clinic
12.30pm - Houston Lonestars vs Oklahoma FC 2nd Half

ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATIVE EVENT @ PLATYPUS BREWERY 4PM-8PM
The Houston Lonestars are proud to partner with their friends at Platypus Brewing to commemorate Anzac Day 2019.
The day honors Australian & New Zealand soldiers who fought so courageously in WW1, particularly on the beaches of Gallipoli 104 years ago.
After a day of USAFL Footy against our friends from the visiting Oklahoma Football Club, come join us for a drink and game of two-up from 4pm.
The Lonestars will have a special beer cup-combo for sale with a portion of proceeds raised going towards the 2019 Anzac Day Appeal to support past and present servicemen.
***An Anzac Memorial Ceremony with the Last Post will be held at 6.00pm***
