Spring Metro Combine, Team Selection & Comp Details

Last Sunday's Spring Combine saw some 33 Lonestars attend with half of those newcomers to the club. The guys were put through their paces with handball & kicking challenges, 50 meter sprint and the dreaded beep test. Everyone put in a great effort and a marked improvement in fitness & skills from all as they pushed each other was noticeable.  
The team and supporters then headed to sponsors Karbach Brewery for team selection and a few well earned refreshments. Captain of the Red Team, Fielder, picked carefully whilst Prez DB selected the Blue team in Tom Donnelly's absence.  Both teams look very even and this series will be an exciting opportunity to watch some of the newcomers step up and play some footy!

Lonestars 1st Official Training Session 2016!

It's been a great few months of Fitness Through Footy but now it's time for 2016 Official Footy Training to start - this Sunday 4pm at the Reagan High School on 14th St.

For all those who have been enjoying our challenging but fun FTF sessions and especially all the newcombers, there will still be fitness and running drills but ball skill sessions and game scenarios will be ramped up as we lead into the Spring Metro Series, Sundays 4pm Apr 3 - Apr 17 and first USAFL game on Saturday Apr 23 in Houston vs Baton Rouge. Stand-by for this years Game Schedule and Training Schedule for the next few months.

For those Lonestars who have been hibernating over the winter - it's time to come out for a kick!

Supporters, family, kids and friends always welcome to come out and watch training or join in!
