A great weekend was had by all in Ft Lauderdale by the beach, I think we played footy or water polo or whatever it was you do when it rains so much you can't see the other end of the field.

Can everyone please fill out the game played tracker - 1 point for a USAFL game and 0.5 for a Metro, there is a column next to your name to nominate for nationals and one at the end for a hotel bed, enter 1 in the bed column to share a room, or for a full room R. You need to have paid your USAFL dues to play nationals, its $75 before the end of August (register here http://www.usafl.com/rego).

I need numbers for Nationals (for both team planning and hotel planning) and for people to start thinking about flights, Dave Bryant has put together our flying options, take a look and let us know what you think:

Here are the flight options for Nationals - there are more departure times on the Friday but these were best price / times.  I suggest we try and get people on the same flight (or at least get them to pick one of two options) and we can get some vans organized to move people around.

I would vote for the Dayton flight on Delta (No. 1 or 2 below) returning at 7.10pm.

Guys,
No training this week (Thurs/Sun) due to the Ft Lauderdale game being on. For those that are going to Ft Lauderdale, let me know if you need to know any further details, I believe most of us are staying at the same hotel (or closeby). I have arranged for all the gear to be there (thanks Beardie), so just bring your boots, white shorts if you don't like wearing the capper style we have, mouth guard and any other protective equipment you normally wear.

We need to start planning for Nationals, I will get a spreadsheet up soon to track who is going as we need to book hotels etc within a couple weeks. More info coming.

Next game after Ft Lauderdale is in Baton Rouge on Sept 9th, it will be an early game, followed by a tailgate at the LSU season opener, it was a great weekend last year, lets try to get a good turnout for that one too.

Back to training next Thursday for those I won't see this weekend.
